About Seniors Home Care

I’m Kit Whittington, a registered nurse who founded Seniors Home Care (SHC) in 1987 to realize my dream: to provide in-home care for older adults in the St. Louis area.

Not so long ago, my own grandmother needed in-home care. Without access to an organization like SHC, I ended up resigning from my corporate job to care for my grandmother myself. Being a single mom, this was a tough decision to make, but I’m so grateful I did. It helped me realize that I wasn’t the only one who needed these services for loved ones.

Today, I offer the same level of service that I gave my own family. This helps to maximize seniors’ independence while giving their adult children peace of mind. It's our pleasure to provide care directed to the individual. Find out more about SHC's mission.
